| | My ribs started hurting today after about a mile and a half near the bottom and to the right. It hurt less to go slower (but faster than walking), so I ran with Susan at a slower pace the rest of the time. |

Today was the race! :) I did 3 miles in the morning, and then did a 1 mile warm up before the race, (3miles) and 1 mile cool down. I think I did pretty good for my first race! I'm looking forward to the next one!

| | I stayed up with Liz, Sally and Preston today. I think my day off helped me a bit :) I wasn't as fast on the way back, but I did manage to stay above the the last group, so that was good. After, the side of my left calve was really hurting, but after I got home, It seemed fine. Liz said it could be Shin splints? |

We had a 1.5 warm up, then 3 thousands, and a 1.5 cool down. Sally and I estimated a total of 5.5 miles? :) It was a good run. I think I might start going to morning practice, they sound a ton better than afternoon... Time trial tomorrow. Should be fun eh? {{{I really enjoy being part of the team and going to practice:) It;s helped me get in shape, but also helped me realize somethings about myself, and helped me make a bunch of new friends:)}}} |

| | I did an AM run with some of the Varsity girls today. It was a lot better than afternoon! WE went at a faster pace then I usually do, and I hardly felt it at all. Maybe it was because it was early in the morning? After a mile in PE we did our Time Trial with a mile warm up and cool down. I did about what I expected. |

| | The faster pace today felt so good! I was super sore at the start, but it worked out by the end. I tried to keep up with the other girls, but I was super tired, so I fell behind, but I ran with another girl most of the rest of the run. We did our regular pace pretty fast with the fartlecks even faster! |

| | AM- 3 Miles with the Level 2 girls. the run wasn't as easy as my first time, but I twas stilll a good run! I'm making progress! Afternoon- 1 mile slow jog in PE Practice- We did an Easy 3 up to Green Springs, It was sooooooooo hot! I did a really slow pace both ways, but a bit faster on the way back. After, we had striders on the baseball field. I felt soooo sore after, and my blisters were NOT helping! I iced and rolled my calves when I got home, I hope it helps! |

I was feeling good for the race, but after, my calves stared hurting. I stretched them out, but it didn't do much. More ice and rolling! |

4 3 min, with 3 min cool, plus Harts warm and cool. I felt better because of the tape Mark put on, but it didn't totally resolve the problem...I'm looking into new shoes for that one! I think I'll be taking a day off to let all my blisters heal, hopefully I'll be back soon!

3 miles run out to Hot nails w/ striders on the track after. Also some plyos. About a mile out, my calves started to hurt super bad. Around my ankles, the backs a bit, and towards the inside of my legs. I took it pretty easy the rest of the run and that seemed to help, but I'm worried about racing tomorrow...

I've been wearing the supportive shoes, and I think they are helping. I've been icing and stretching each night, and as much as I can.

PE: Ran our first timed mile. I got 18:50, which is pretty consistant with what I've been running as of late. Leg hurt again after running, stretching helped a little.
Afternoon: I acctually did the warm up today! It was a pretty slow 3, my leg was doing pretty not swell. I've noticed that the pain comes more oftern when I slow down, or walk. REMEMBER! Stretch after running!!! I did the Estem, and iced, but I don't know if it made a differance..I also did the stretched and iced last night, but I think that just made me even more sore.. |

| | Ran up to Green springs today with Nicole. It was the first time I've ever run with her, and it was a Fun Run! :) We both took it at an easy pace since were both injured... After giving Matt the 2 quarters and credit card we found on our run, I stretched, spent 20 min. on the Estem, rolled out, and iced. My leg didn't hurt bad during the run, and It was better than usual after :) |

| | PE: 1 1/2 miles on the track, fairly easy. AFTERNOON: 3 miles easy, with 4-100 sprints, plus 2 stadium hill sprints. Did 15 min. on the Estem today, plus rolling, and icing. I wore a compression sleave today, it seemed to help a bit. I'm going to look into getting one soon. My leg felt more sore today then painful, a happy relief! My right knee was bugging me a bit, I'll ice and hope for the best! I got left behind when they left for paint-the-town today... it was depressing, but I did get over there eventually... It was kinda fun I guess :) I never feel like I belong on the team anymore, I don't know why, but I never feel...accepted? by the other runners d: Whatever...

Race day! I hurt pretty bad in the warm up, but I'm pretty sure it was mostly soreness. I didn't do nearly as good at the race as I thought I would, and I was pretty mad with myself. I realized that I've been using my injury as an excuse to be slow, and really lazy about my practices lately, and that is what was holding me back.I know I can do better, and I will! Next race... My goal for the end of this season is to run a 5k in 26min flat! I'm going to start morning practices again, and step up my workouts at practice...

I was moving pretty slow up to Green Springs, but I was able to keep my pace consistent. The way pace was faster, and felt a lot better on my ankle, which has been hurting lately. The hill sprints went pretty slow too, but my 100's moved along quickly. |

Snow Canyon Invitational (3 Miles) 00:28:58 | | Race day! I felt pretty good during the whole race, and I could tell I was moving at a faster pace then I have been lately :) It was a happy moment. I don't quite feel ready for region yet, but I shall get there! I'm still having problems with my ankle, but it has been improving! XC as a whole has been improving too:) I feel more accepted by the team, and I've been really positive about running lately. |

I feel bad about my weak mileage, but My ankle and leg were really bad today. I iced, and rolled really good, but my ankle still hurts. I'm really worried about being ready for region...just as my leg started getting better, my ankle got messed up, and now it's both.. I don't know what to do!! I'm just hoping that I'll be OK after my weekend break...

| | I ran down on the river trail with my mom :) It was a nice evening run, with a few fast paced areas. My ankle was OK-ish through most of the run, but near 1 1/2 miles my right calve started cramping up, even after I stretched. I took the next mile easy because I rode my mom's bike while she jogged for awhile:) It helped, and I ran the remainder back at a steady pace, with a tempo finish. I stretched, and I'm going to ice and put an Ace wrap on to see if that helps at all. |

2012 Region course (3 Miles) 00:30:16 | | Region! 3 mile race, plus warm and cool. I had such high hopes for this race, I just can't even grasp what happened. I kept telling myself positive stuff, and I was feeling really good this race, mentally and physically. I kept repeating my PR to myself to give me a goal, and a temp to run at. And then came the third lap...I really thought I was done, and I started focusing hard, trying to take it up a notch. then I realized that I still had one more lap to go, and I just lost it. I couldn't focus, and I slowed waaaaay down... I didn't get to accomplish either of my goals, and then I started crying in front of people... I had felt actually OK about the race until I saw my time! Not my worst I guess, but most certainly not my best. ((On the up side, I ran the first 2 laps really good, and had a really good finish:)) |

800-1000 cool, 400-400 cool, 200-200 cool, 400-400 cool, 200-200 cool. Plus 1mile warm and cool. Speed workout! It was actually kinda fun, as weird as that sounds...I like how sprinting feels, and I was pretty consistent throughout the work out. The first half of the 800 was 2:06, then my 400's were 1:53, and 1:55 .

| | Holy Hill work out today! We ran up the sunrise tires hill, and it was a pain in the legs!! The way there I ran with Taelor, and it felt so goooood to be back to running! Without exercising I just feel yucky! I was moving pretty slow up the hills, especially after the first half..but atleast I did it! After the hills I ran with Erin and Maquel back to the school, and it felt so good to go faster than usual! :) Erin started feeling sickley, but she was a trooper and kept going! My ankle was feeling super today! My left thigh is still sore, but I think icing shall resolve that:) |

4 mile hill run up to Green Springs. I tried to go faster than usual, and was ahead of Mika most of the time:) On the way back, I pushed myself to go faster, and just run! It was kinda fun! The time I took off definitely helped! I finally feel like I'm getting back into my old pace:) But now I am soo sore!! Plus my leg started hurting on the inside side, which hasn't happened in a while...I'm kinda worried about that, so I guess I'll just be careful and watch it...

I did feel pretty good and I got faster each time after the first:) But it really wore me out, I think I need to get more sleep... |

Easy 3:) Recovery from the workout, and prep. for the time trial tomorrow! I actually stretched today! I was so proud!! I iced my ankle and leg too, so I'm hoping they won't be so sore tomorrow for the time trial... I really want to make this my best one yet! I know I can, I just need to get in the right state of mind to do it!!

PE: Timed mile (8:30) Practice: 2 miles warm up, 2 miles time trial, 2 miles cool down, 4 200's. I felt like I actually did my best on this time trial..like I kept up a pretty good pace most of the time, and I felt good about it. I know it's not my best time, but this one is sitting better with me than he others:) Through most of practice I just felt so exhausted..coach was right about the sleep thing...d: Extra stretching and icing tonight...

Race with warm and cool. The race went pretty good! It was the hardest course I've done, and I got a decent time:) I didn't hardly kick at all at the end because I thought it was further then it was but, whateve. I really tried hard on this one, and I had a great time! The course was fun. The trip to Cali. was so great! :) I'm so glad I went! Thanks to my teamies who made it great! And now, the 2 week break!!
